Retro replika släpps av Malmö FF och Supporterhuset

Den 30 maj 1979 skrev Malmö FF in sitt namn i fotbollshistorien genom att nå Europacupfinalen, en bedrift som fortfarande resonerar 45 år senare. Som en hyllning till denna oförglömliga prestation är Supporterhuset, i samarbete med Malmö FF, stolta över att presentera en exklusiv retroreplika.

Den 30 maj 2024, var supportrar inbjudna att delta i en firande av Malmö FFs rika historia. Lanseringen av retroreplika-tröjan markeras av en utsåld lanseringsfest på Eleda Stadion. Här, bland doften av tyska bratwurstar och glimten av UEFA-trofén, får MFFare i alla åldrar möjlighet att träffa spelare från den ursprungliga truppen och återuppleva de minnesvärda ögonblick som denna tröja representerar.

Den unika historiska replikan produceras i en begränsad upplaga om 1979 exemplar. Som en speciell bonus kommer några utvalda tröjor att tryckas med nummer och signeras av spelare från den ursprungliga truppen 78/79.

Hyllningen är ett supporterinitiativ av den ideella föreningen Supporterhuset, som började ta fram liknande merchandise-kollektioner redan 2017. Malmö FF anslöt sig till projektet 2021 vilket öppnade för möjligheten att skapa en officiell replika. Hundratals obetalda timmar har investerats i projektet av en dedikerad grupp Malmö FF-supportrar. Originaltröjor från 1979 och 1980 har använts för att vägleda designval som färger, kragar och ränder.

Tröjorna kommer att finnas tillgängliga exklusivt i Supporterhusets fysiska butik och webbutik samt MFF Shopen på Eleda Stadion, Emporia och online från och med fredag 31 maj.

On that momentous day, May 30th, 1979, Malmö FF etched their name in football history by reaching the European Cup Final, a feat that still resonates with us 45 years later. In a tribute to this unforgettable achievement, the fan club Supporterhuset, in collaboration with Malmö FF, is proud to unveil an exclusive retro replica.

Today, on this auspicious day of May 30th, 2024, fans are invited to join us in a celebration of Malmö FF’s rich history. The launch of the retro replica shirt is marked by a sold-out launch party at the iconic Eleda Stadion. Here, amidst the aroma of German bratwurst and the gleam of the UEFA trophy, fans, young and old, will have the opportunity to meet players from the original squad and relive the memories that this shirt represents.

This unique piece of history is being produced in a limited batch of 1979. It will be available exclusively at Malmö FF’s and Supporterhuset’s brick-and-mortar shops and web shops. As a special bonus, a select few shirts will be printed with numbers and signed by players from the original squad of -78/79, adding an extra layer of exclusivity to this already rare item.

The product initially started as a fan-driven project, as the non-profit supporter organisation Supporterhuset started working with similar collections of merchandise already back in 2017. Malmö FF officially joined the project in 2021 as it became a concrete possibility to create a sellable replica. Hundreds and hundreds of unpaid hours have been invested in the project by a group of Malmö FF supporters. Original shirts from 1979 and 1980 have been used to guide design choices like colours, collars and stripes.

The shirts will be available online at shop.supporterhuset.se and at the MFF shop at Eleda Stadion, Emporia and online on Friday, May 31^st.
